INTRODUCTION

The 9th ICWSAUD 2026 is designed to be an interdisciplinary forum that unites professionals, researchers, and academics in architecture, engineering, and interior design. Set in the heritage-rich city of Penang, Malaysia, this conference explores how cultural identity, technological innovation, and sustainability principles can merge to guide future urban transformations.

OBJECTIVES

  1. Foster collaboration between architecture, engineering, and interior design disciplines.
  2. Promote sustainable technologies and heritage conservation through digital innovation.
  3. Encourage cross-border academic partnerships and cultural knowledge sharing.
  4. Support student and young researcher engagement in sustainability and adaptive reuse.
